Fish and Frisbees

It's been a while since I've posted. I guess that's cuz I've been busy. Oh snap. Imagine that.

I returned to my home in Vancouver on May 10 after a busy but good time in Alberta. I have kept pretty busy since then with work stuff and not-work stuff. The last 2 weekends have been pretty flippin' great. Adam, Laura and I have gone on bike trips around Vancouver 2 weekends in a row now. On our first adventure as the BOB SQUAD we biked through downtown and over to Stanley Park. We had lunch at English Bay and threw a frisbee around for a while in a nearby park before heading home. Just so you know... I'm learning to throw a frisbee. I've always been bad at it, but I'm getting better with Adam and Laura's coaching. Laura plays ultimate frisbee (a competitive sport for those of you unaware... it's pretty cool) so I'm learning a lot from her. I'm even learning different ways of throwing. Did you know there's multiple ways to throw a frisbee? I didn't. Gosh. And some of them are pretty crazy. I can't do most of them. But it's fun, now that I'm past the stage of caring about how ridiculous I look. Sometimes I look very uncool when I'm throwing a frisbee. Unfortunately I have no pictures of the bike adventures or the frisbee throwing.

This last weekend, May long weekend here in Canada, was also memorable. Saturday I went to the Aquarium with Laura and 3 of my guy friends from Alberta (Trystan, Mike H., and Jerid). We had a brilliant time laughing at the sea otters and beluga whales and weird fish and eels and such. Later that night we attended a kicking birthday party for my wonderful friend Hillary. And that's only some of the crazy fun I had... seriously... but I'll spare you the reading material for now. Here's two... count 'em.... TWO videos from this past weekend.

the dutch word for bike is fiets....you should impress your friends with this word...for example, next time you go on your bike adventures say, "who wants to go op de fiets(on the fiets)?? you would probably be pretty cool
